Puri
is one of the four major Hindu holy places in India, which is home to the
famous Lord Jagannath Temple. It is situated in the eastern India state of
Orissa, on the banks of Bay of Bengal. The city Puri is at a distance of
60km from the state capital Bhubaneswar and south-west of Konark. Besides
being a major pilgrimage destination, Puri is famous among tourists for its
white sand beach.
Best Time for Beach Holiday
Puri experience a very moderate climate with a maximum temperature of 35
degrees C during Summer and a minimum of 16 degrees C in the winter. Puri
attracts tourist throughout the year, but the best time to visit its beach
is during winter months of November and December. It is the time when one
can enjoy the annual Puri Beach Festival.
